I have two versions of this scene. The original is a low-quality 720p source that has a LOT of noise. The new encode is actually larger, but it has more noise reduction. I find the new encode plays a little better, uses fewer system resources (all that noise can actually bog down some computers), and the image quality is comparable (trades some losses for a lot of noise).

Custom Encode:
Handbrake h.264 (implementation of x.264) encode from an unmodified 720p scene. High default with: RF:21.25, medium denoise, stereo sound @ 128K. 720p --> 720p

[COLOR="DarkRed"]Caution
720p resolution does NOT guarantee high quality. This series looks like it was filmed in a lower resolution and posted on a site with a higher resolution encode. If you are at all bandwidth limited, I recommend downloading the custom transcode version @ 1024x576.

If you are concerned about image quality, I recommend downloading the highlight pics or GIF @ full resolution. When you see the pics/GIF in full resolution on your preferred monitor/TV, you can decide if it's a worthwhile download. I did not run a bunch of screen caps for the original (probably because I just now realized it was actually a smaller file). I would only download it if you want HD in a smaller file. Otherwise, I'd go with one of the new encodes.

I just created a whole new set of caps and gif images for a torrent upload. I was going to post updated images here, and then I ran into all the rules. The image files are WAY over 250K because I am used to 2MB image size limits. Then, I noticed that none of the image hosts I use are approved. Rules are necessary to keep some semblance of order, and they have downside consequences too.:(
