While I didn't see that (no cable for me), I remember when I first started watching Doctor Who back in the early 80's, it was on a broadcast station, with commercials. So, it was cut up to fit (with ads added) into the 30 minute time frame alotted. |

I know this video is from Australia but apparently they get it too and I couldn't find the BBCA one. |

This was one of the best episodes of the 13th Doctor's run. It had a touch of "Tomb Of The Cybermen" to it. It had a surprise cameo appearance that fans of the 3rd Doctor would recognize. It introduced a new addition to an old species without going "iDalek" on the fans. Does anyone like those things ??? The only thing that bugs me is the Mistress storyline. And how did the Tardis takeoff on it's own and only when Nardol was alone in it ??? Maybe next week somethings will come to light. |
Roll on The Master returning
I have enjoyed the Missy story lines, we all know that she is devious and cannot be trusted. But we are nearly through this current most excellent season and John Simm is due to reprise his role as The Master. The last time we saw The Master he actually saved The Doctor from The Time Lords but was "as mad as a box of frogs". His return can only spell glorious trouble! Bring him on!!:)

This seemed like a fairly run-of-the-mill episode at first. But then came the twist where the Doctor learns he needs to back off or get bitch-smacked upside the head with a club. And this episode was written by Rona Munro who wrote the story "Survival" for the 7th Doctor's run. It was actually the last story of the classic series run. I still can't figure out where the Missy storyline is going, but I like her use of the word "Disposables". --- And the previews for next week looked good. For those who do not get to see those, the link here should help: http://youtu.be/-iulmpto_1k --- |
Would be strange if it turns out Capaldi isn't leaving the show afterall. http://youtu.be/ffJU5Hh9vtI |

There's an old fan theory that the Doctor always regenerates into someone he's met. One met Two and Three. Three met Four and Five. Other Doctors have been minor characters in earlier episodes.
Um. After the 50th anniversary I suppose all the Doctors have met each other, if only on a viewscreen. Maybe Capaldi is going to regenerate into the Master? And Missy could become Capaldi? It would certainly change the dynamic of the show... :D |

Nice that. |

Only twice has an actor who appeared on an episode of Doctor Who gone on to play the Doctor on the show. Colin Baker & Peter Capaldi. That's it. So, it's not really a theory so much as wishful pure speculation. Kind of like a recent theory about this season. The vault would be a prison used by the Simm's Master to keep the 1st Doctor as a captive to prevent the Doctor from destroying Mondas. But, because he had to cross a time line, he'd need help to balance things out and that would be from his future self, Missy. Something to do with how the past versions of a time lord/lady forgets meeting the future version of themselves while the future version will remember. Of course, we now know who was locked in the vault all of this time. |
